B-17 in Flight
“…And I don’t believe in fighting the wind. You go and you fly with your wind. Let everyone else catch their own gusts of wind and let them fly with their own gusts of wind, and you go and you fly with yours.”
― C. JoyBell C.
Our pilots are perhaps the bravest men who ever dared to conquer the sky. While some pilots bask in the journey of seeing the beauty of the world and sharing them with others in their planes, the story of our pilots is very different.
The journey our pilots face is a journey through fear, courage, sacrifice, and honor. These soldiers swallow their fears and face combat with courage. They put their lives at risk and even sacrifice their lives, for the honor and glory of our country.
The heroism that they’ve shown for us goes beyond words. They made our country a better place to live and they gave our people a chance at a much better life. Despite the terror of cold war, they held on to their faith and overcame the challenges before them. In the end, not only did they win, our pilots also conquered the sky.
To honor these brave pilots, we must cherish and forever remember the legacy they’ve left behind. We must keep their story alive by reliving the memories of the aircraft flights during war. The H5 Productions, in conjunction with The Commemorative Air Force hoped to keep our pilots’ story alive by filming the B-17 and the B-25 aircrafts flying over and around Arizona’s Superstition Mountains and Saguaro Lake during the Veterans Day Celebration on November 13th, 2010. Let’s always remember our brave pilots who flew with the wind and conquered the skies. Let’s never forget the legacy they’ve left behind.
