1941
Hitler tells Goebels that he still feels that peace with England is possible. Germany invades Russia, beginning Operation Barbarossa. U.S. Corps of Engineers initiates the Manhattan project to develop the Atomic Bomb. Rommel captures Tobruk. With the U.S. Navy in position, the Battle of the Philippine Sea begins. G.I. Bill of Rights is passed.
