“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.”

-George S. Patton, Jr.

Life is too short; one can never foresee the span of our existence. One can never know how much time he has in this world. This is the very reason why we must cherish life and savor every minute we have for we never know when it will end.

Many soldiers had to sacrifice themselves, in order to give others a better chance at living a good life. The soldiers who died in the Vietnam War lived a life worth living. They were brave men who chose to stand up and fight for freedom and peace. They were brave men who chose to put their lives at risk to save the lives of their countrymen.

These soldiers faced war with courage and strength, even without knowing how the battle would end. They faced the fear of losing their lives, but they never backed out with their willingness to put their lives at risk just to make sure they save the lives of others.

To honor and relive the story of the brave soldiers, visit the Virtual Wall website dedicated for the Vietnam War Veterans. The website gives you access to the letters, poems and photographs left by the families and friends of the brave soldiers who died. This website is a great way to remember the sacrifices our Vietnam War soldiers gave for all of us. Let’s take a look at the memories they have left behind and mourn not their death, but instead, celebrate the life they lived.
