Historians have always walked figuratively in others’ footsteps, but for the sons and daughters of prisoners of war of Stalag Luft III, they recently had the chance to literally walk in very meaningful historic footsteps. In 2009, the self-proclaimed “Krieige Kids,” now all in their fifties and sixties, marched to honor the loved ones of whom they were so proud.
