A Tale Of Two Men
Sconiers scrambled from his bombardier’s position to the cockpit to find a half-conscious pilot, whose arm was nearly torn off. Although Sconiers had never flown a B-17 before, he moved the body of the dead co-pilot and eased himself into the seat.
